UHG project represents a comprehensive renewal of both the interior and exterior of an existing medical center in Toronto. This three-story facility accommodates interventional pain facilities on the ground floor, sleep disorder and pulmonary clinics on the second floor, and a physiotherapy clinic on the third floor.

The design prioritizes the creation of a soft and diffused environment, crucial for practicality and patient comfort within the medical setting. Polished aluminum egg-crate panels on the ground and second-floor ceilings discreetly house lighting, ducts, and wiring. These panels generate a blurred reflection, flattening objects above and simulating an underwater view. The adaptable layout ensures flexibility for various spaces while maintaining diffused lighting. High-gloss white paint on walls further softens edges, contributing to the overall effect of blurring boundaries between different areas. Sleep rooms on the second floor utilize fabric acoustic panels, backlit with colored lights. Additionally, custom desks crafted from honeycomb composite panels harmonize seamlessly with the ceiling's aesthetic.

The third floor boasts an open space illuminated by thirty circular fixtures that mimic warm, sunlit halos. Gently curved fabric walls delineate a massage area. The overarching design concept evokes the sensation of swimming underwater, providing visitors with a sense of relief as they transition between floors—reminiscent of breaking through the water's surface.
