"1.4" is a private medical clinic designed with efficient spatial planning, featuring three exam rooms, a laboratory, a teaching area, a staff room, and a waiting/reception area. Natural light flows throughout, creating a seamless transition between materials and crafting the illusion of a horizon set 1.4 meters above the floor. This design divides the space into two distinct realms—above and below—creating a serene environment for seated patients and practitioners, while promoting openness for standing individuals.
A central passage, defined by translucent polycarbonate walls housing recycled tumbled glass, runs through the clinic. The refracted light creates a shimmering effect, adding vitality to the industrial materials. The space is further softened by wooden sliding doors stained in white and clear tones and walls with varying gloss finishes.
"1.4" stands out through its careful attention to tonality and detail, creating a meditative atmosphere that evokes the serenity of an ocean horizon.
