Under a Tree Chapel is a proposed wedding chapel for a hotel development in Taipei. Set as an island within a shallow pool, the structure is conceived as a singular space for ceremony and reflection.

The design is formed by a series of intersecting vaulted planes that create a unified roof. These elements, supported by a structure of golden rings, reference both the circular symbolism of marriage and the branching logic of a tree canopy. The structural system defines the volume, establishes spatial rhythm, and modulates light.

Beneath the vaulted roof, a single interior room is organized as a space of gathering and focus. The geometry draws the eye upward, centering attention on the core. Overlapping ceramic tiles clad both the exterior and interior, creating a continuous, textured surface that responds to natural light and reflects the movement of water below.
